How long is a short-term residence permit issued?
A short-term residence permit can be issued for a maximum of two years. As of February 2022, the administration does not consider it appropriate to grant residence permits for 1 year to other foreigners, except for those who own real estate in Turkey.

Who can be granted a family residence permit?
Turkish citizens or foreigners who have one of the residence permits, refugees and subsidiary protection status holders;

o        To the spouse of the foreigner (If he/she has more than one spouse, only one of the spouses can be issued a family residence permit. However, all children of the foreigner can be granted a family residence permit).

o        To the minor or dependent foreign child of himself/herself or his/her spouse (for the family residence permit requests of the children, the consent of the mother or father who has joint custody, if any, must be obtained outside our country).
