Students who have come to our country for educational purposes and whose visa or exemption period is not sufficient are required to obtain a student residence permit or a student residence permit, in accordance with the purpose of their stay.
Except for those who are exempt from student residence permit, foreigners who will stay in Turkey for more than 90 days or the period determined by their visa or visa exemption must obtain a residence permit.

A student residence permit is given to foreigners who will receive an education at an associate, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level in a higher education institution in Turkey.
Foreigners who will receive education in a primary and secondary education institution, whose care and all expenses will be covered by a real or legal person, may be granted leave of absence for 1 year periods during their education with the consent of their parents or legal representatives.

Having a student residence permit does not entitle the student’s parents or other relatives to obtain a residence permit.
If the education period is less than one year, the duration of the student residence permit cannot exceed the education period.
Foreigners who will come and receive education in our country through various public institutions and organizations can be granted a student residence permit during their education.

In the following cases, the residence permit application is not accepted, if given, it is canceled and its duration is not extended.
1. In case the conditions sought for this permit are not fulfilled or disappear,
2. If there is some evidence that learning cannot be sustained,
3. If there is evidence that the student residence permit has been used for purposes other than the one for which it was issued,
4. In case of a valid deportation decision or a ban on entry to Turkey, the student residence permit application will not be accepted, if given, it will be canceled and its duration will not be extended.
5. If one of the parents is not present during the residence permit application, the consent document of the person who does not apply,
If one of the parents has died, the death certificate of the deceased spouse
Custody of the child if the parents are divorced
If the parents of the child are married, the marriage certificate or certified copies of the document proving that they are married
